Pain points when migrating a test (suite) from jest to vitest

  • Mocks are slightly different.

  • everything is (usually) global in jest. Make them explicit in vitest tests instead. Less magic.

  • beforeEach doesn't run before describe blocks (unsure if jest handles this differently)
